Valentine's Day

DIY Valentine Ticket Garland

I’m always tempted to leave a Christmas tree up… this year I did it.  It’s decorated for Valentine’s Day right now.You can see it here.

I made this Valentine ticket garland to go on it and a few extras to sell at the January Room With a Past sale.  They were popular so I thought I’d share them here, too.  Here’s what I started with:

Valentine ticket garland supplies | DuctTapeAndDenim.com

Supplies for Valentine Ticket Garland:

  • Martha Stewart heart punch
  • pink/white/red tickets
  • pink/cream/red seam binding or ribbon
  • stapler
  • hole punch
  • scrapbook paper

Staple hearts to tickets for my Valentine ticket garland | DuctTapeAndDenim.comPunch little hearts out of the scrapbook paper and staple them to the tickets.

Punch holes in each corner of tickets for Valentine ticket garland | DuctTapeAndDenim.comPunch holes in the corners.

Run ribbon through tickets for my Valentine garland | DuctTapeAndDenim.comWhoa… someone needs a manicure!  Anyway, run the seam binding through each hole.  The ends will get tattered like this but don’t worry, you can trim them when you get all the tickets on.

Here’s the finished project.  This looks good when all the tickets are alike or you can alternate pink, red, and white like the one on my Valentine tree.
