Last year, when I searched for a Waco Christmas store all I found was Christmas decorators, Magnolia Market, and Hobby Lobby… Waco had no Christmas shop like the Decorators Warehouse in the DFW area or The Christmas Store in Fredericksburg. So I thought I would add a mini Christmas shop to the Waco shopping scene!

Let me introduce you to our newest in-person location… a 100% Christmas booth at Craft Gallery! And the best thing is… you can order most of these items online! More on that later. First I’ll show you how we set up our mini shop.
How We Set Up Our Waco Christmas Store
One of the questions I get asked a lot is “How do I set up a booth?” So I thought I’d walk through the process with you on this one.
We usually start a new booth or booth size with a “rehearsal” set up at home. We did that this time, too. I marked out a 3′ x 6′ space on the floor of the SheShed with washi tape and started setting up. The only thing I didn’t set up was the Christmas tree. I already knew how much floor space it took up so I just left an empty space for it on one side. (Pardon the mess in the SheShed! This is real life…)
I usually like to do this on a wall but since we added the eBay shelves I don’t have any extra wall space.
Our new booth at Craft Gallery is 3′ x 6′ and on a corner at the back of the store, right by the bathrooms. I figured it would get a lot of exposure there! Plus we’ve got some popular booths around us.
I forgot to take a picture of the booth when it was completely empty but you can see most of it here. The old doors were already there. The owner had some of her items displayed there before we rented the space and she offered to leave the doors there for our background.
Bikeman really doesn’t like pegboard so he completely covered all of it with burlap. We wanted a rustic feel and between the burlap and the wood doors, we got just what we were looking for.
One of the keys to organizing a craft store booth is layering and stacking. I look for a mix of large and small items. For example, both my booths have small tables in them right now. Technically they’re for sale, too, but we won’t put a price tag on this one until I have another large display piece to replace it.
I’m using the children’s ironing board for height. It’s for sale also so we have to be prepared if it sells. Bikeman is working on some large three-tiered trays that would probably work there, too.
Other than that I use old crates instead of shelves. They’re much more flexible and easy to move.
Unfortunately, Craft Gallery doesn’t have an online system for vendors to check what has sold so I’ll call them a couple of days before we go to restock to see if any large pieces sold.
This is a work in progress and I’m still not 100% happy with everything on the tabletop but it’ll do for now.
Where is the Waco Christmas Store Located
We’re inside Craft Gallery at 7524 Bosque Boulevard in Waco, Texas.
Once you get to the store, our booth is at the very back of row 5, right by the bathrooms. This is the view looking toward the front of the store.
What We Sell in the Christmas Shop
We’ll be selling Christmas ornaments and other handmade, vintage, and new Christmas items all year long. Plus anything that’s red, white, or green could be added at any time.
Magnolia Christmas decor is what many shoppers look for in Waco, so we’ll be sure to always include some farmhouse Christmas ornaments and other rustic farmhouse decor items in our space.
We also have a lot of Texas Christmas ornaments so if you’re visiting from out of town you can pick up a souvenir of your trip to see Joanna Gaines!

What Does a Christmas Store Sell in the Summer?
And in case you’re wondering if I actually sold anything in the summer months, I’ll keep a loose record here of what’s selling:
- July 2020: We actually sold a few ornaments, the Santa street sign, and a Santa mug in July, even though we were only open less than a week!
- August 2020: Several farmhouse Christmas ornaments sold, a large wooden sleigh, a handmade trinket dish,
- fall 2020: I’m expecting sales to slowly creep up as Christmas gets closer. Our usual Christmas ornaments sales are pretty steady through the year and as soon as October 1 hits they go steadily up until December 1, then slow down a little each week until the week before Christmas. At least that’s been our online pattern in the past. We might have sales right up to Christmas in a brick and mortar shop. I’ll need to check our Craft Gallery sale list from December 2019 to compare and see if there’s a different trend for in-person shopping.
