Today on our Facebook Live we just made the easiest ever no-sew felt ornaments for Valentine’s Day! Scroll down to watch the video and find out how they turned out.
Felt crafts are some of the easiest projects you can make. My favorites because they’re so quick, easy, AND cheap! I’m especially looking for cheap because I’m leaving a full-size Christmas tree up all year long and need LOTS Valentine decorations for a tree!
And, remember, if you’re doing the craft challenge with us, this can count as your felt craft or a holiday craft project!

How to Make Heart Ornaments from Felt
Step One: Cut Hearts Out of Felt
I guess you could actually skip this step by buying felt hearts. I found them on Amazon and Etsy. But hearts are easy to cut so I just used sheets of felt. I bought my felt sheets from local craft stores but they’re on Amazon, too.
Step Two: Decorate Top Felt Heart
Y’all know I don’t do many glitter crafts, but sometimes you need a little bling on your craft projects. This is one of those times.
Feel free to add regular glitter to these ornaments but I chose to use Stickles glitter glue. That’s a much neater alternative.
Any time I use regular glitter I end up with it EVERYWHERE!!!
Step Three: Cut and Add Jute Hanger
I cut these jute strings about 12″ long, folded them in half, and glued them to the middle of the inside of the back heart.
Step Four: Glue Front and Back Felt Hearts Together
Then I glued the front and back felt hearts together. Make sure you leave an opening so you can stuff the hearts!
Step Five: Stuff Felt Heart Ornaments
I just used my felt scraps to stuff these ornaments. You could use fiberfill or any other fabric scraps you have around the house.
The only thing to watch for is the color of the fabric scraps that you use inside the white hearts. Dark-colored fabric might show through.
Step Six: Glue Heart Ornament Closed
Now you can go back and glue the opening.
Easy, peasy! It actually takes me more time to explain how to make these than to make one! But here’s a video if you prefer to watch me make these Valentine ornaments.
