5 Magnolia Market Tips & Our Trip to the Silos, Part 2

Today I’m sharing part 4 of our last trip to Waco. If you missed the first three parts, I decided to split the photos up into several articles so we wouldn’t crash anyone’s computer. So far we’ve shared the Bakery, the grounds, and the Magnolia Garden Center, aka Magnolia Seed + Supply. First our Magnolia Market tips… then the photos from inside the shop…

Magnolia Market Tips

One: Go EARLY! We got there about 10 minutes after they opened and Bikeman was already amazed at how many people were there! (lol… he hasn’t been on a SATURDAY!)

Two: Go on a weekday. I’ve heard that Thursdays are the best day. My sister-in-law went on a Saturday and reported that it was packed. I’ve also been on a Friday that was pretty busy. But remember that they’re CLOSED on Sundays!

Three: Park in the free parking lot on 8th street behind Magnolia Market. You’ll be able to walk straight from the parking lot into the back lawn area of the Market.

Four: Go to the bakery first. Your cupcakes will come in a cute little box with a handle, making it easy to carry them around if you don’t want to eat cupcakes at 9 am. (I had no problem with that!)

Then spend the rest of your time wandering around the silo complex. There are games to play on the lawn, a garden to explore, and plenty of places to sit and relax… and of course… SHOP!

Inside Magnolia Market

I’ve heard a few people complain that everything in the market was ‘made in China’. But not everything! There area some products made by local artists and craftsmen, such as these hand thrown coffee mugs. My daughter’s friend actually worked for this shop and made some of these mugs!

I just had to share this picture. Jo was in the middle of telling me all about her friend who sells felt letterboards on Amazon. Since that trip, she gave me one of them so you’ll probably be seeing that on my Instagram account soon. They also sell a super cute hexagon letterboard that’s a chalkboard on the back.

More than anything, I enjoy just walking around the shop to see the displays. This trip they had three different mantels set up.

I love the basket as wall decor and these fern leaves have inspired me to go look for them online.

The third mantel was much different. How do you like that tile?

Bikeman and our Paparazzi were overwhelmed by that time. Remember… the photos in this post were still about 10 o’clock in the morning and look how crowded it was already.

In the Grain Warehouse

We kept going through the front market into the grain warehouse in the back. Part of it is also their retail space but behind the wall is where they store all their inventory. I’d love to get back there and see all their goodies!
