Valentine's Day

How to Make Sweet Vintage Tart Tin Valentine’s Day Magnets

Today I’m sharing some Valentine’s Day magnets I actually made several years ago.  I can figure out the year because I specifically added the #22 because we had been married for 22 years.  Well, we hit 30 last year so I guess I actually made this 8 years ago!  Wow… time flies!  Most of these were sold at markets but I kept the #22 for sentimental reasons.  I pulled it out with my Valentine’s Day decorations last week and thought I’d use it to practice with my new camera.

These were all just made with vintage heart-shaped tart tins and bits and pieces of craft supplies I had collected.  Then I stuck a strong magnet onto the back with E6000.

I’m sorry the photos are so small.  The rest of the photos were taken 8 years ago when I made these and I had no idea what I was doing when I uploaded photos.

For this next one, I printed an old photo on white cardstock, cut it out, and balanced it in the heart before gluing.  I just love the expression on the little girl’s face!

If you can’t get enough upcycled craft and home decor projects, check out these books on Amazon.  I have a couple already and I’m trying to read at least one of these a month.  I’m hoping to share reviews here on the blog.  So far, I’ve read and reviewed The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up!
