How to Bend Metal for Bracelets and Other Jewelry {VIDEO}

I’m doing a short video series on my YouTube channel to answer the questions I get asked the most about making jewelry.  One question I get asked a lot is, “How did you bend that?”  So in today’s video I’ll show you how to bend metal for bracelets, cuffs, or other jewelry.

How to Bend Metal for Bracelets

Here are the two tools I demonstrate in the video:

Bracelet bending pliers and tool used in video tutorial. More on DuctTapeAndDenim.com

bracelet bending pliers — Eurotool is the brand I use.  They’re a few dollars more than others I’ve seen but it’s a high-quality tool and I use it a lot!

bracelet bending tool — This one is a different brand than I own but it works just the same.

Let me know what you think my next video tutorial should be!

    Thank you so much for this! I just got a metal stamping kit and I was wondering how to bend the bracelets. I came over from the Vintage Inspiration Party.

    Going to check out your other videos!

    another question – where do you buy those tools at? Do you have a company whose products you like?

    Loved your video. What type of metal strips do you use for your stamped bangles and where do you get it?

      Aluminum bracelet blanks are the easiest to stamp. I get mine here: https://rstyle.me/n/c3mhkab57af (that’s an affiliate link, btw)

      I haven’t made cutlery jewelry but I’m not sure if these would work. I think the metal may be too strong. You might have to heat or hammer it. Maybe you can find a video on YouTube?

    Where do you find good quality blanks for stamping. Where did you get the bracelet bending tools?
    Thank you for your time.
    Cheers,

      I get a lot from Etsy and Amazon. I’ve put together some of my sources in our Amazon Influencer shop: https://www.amazon.com/ideas/amzn1.account.AGYIR6R64GJBSV36TRKWWWUVGNFQ/197AVSMGF7DJ6

      Thanks!
