How to Make Embroidered DIY Canvas Baseball Coasters

Are you ready for summer?  I am!  To me, summer means baseball and spending time outside on the patio with a refreshing drink.  So today I’ll combine the two and show you how to make embroidered canvas baseball coasters to use when we’re drinking our favorite new drink.

Supplies Needed for Baseball Coasters

  • pre-made canvas coasters (You could also cut circles out of canvas and sew them together.)
  • red embroidery thread
  • embroidery needle
  • sewing scissors
  • pencil
  • small plate

While grabbing supplies at Walmart I also got a couple of bottles of a new drink… Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade™.  I love ginger ale AND lemonade.  This way I didn’t have to choose between the two.

Since I just recently shared how to make this embroidery stitch on my baseball tote bag, I won’t go into too much detail here.  It’s really a simple process.

I used a small salad plate to get the curve.  I drew two very light pencil lines and added the fern stitch between the two lines.  You can do a YouTube search for “fern stitch” or go back to my embroidered baseball bag to see a video on how to do it.

That’s pretty much it!  Using pre-made canvas coasters saved a lot of time.  More time for relaxing now.

When we’re not watching baseball we’re usually out on the patio, repotting our succulents or planning birdfeeders.

I love the taste of ginger and it mixes perfectly with the refreshing lemon flavor in Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade.  Perfect for a hot day of relaxing on the patio.
