Valentine's Day

How to Display a Vintage Valentine Postcard Collection

I don’t even remember when I bought my first vintage Valentine postcard.  But once I found one, I was hooked.

Where to Find Vintage Valentine Postcards

I bought all my postcards from paper and ephemera dealers at antique shows for about a dollar apiece.  If you can’t find an antique show nearby, look online.  Here are a few good sources:

  • Vintage Valentine postcards on Etsy
  • Vintage Valentine postcards on eBay

Reproduction Valentine postcards can also be found on Amazon:

And if you’d like some vintage postcards to use in crafts, make copies.   Remember, I never use the originals for crafting!  You can even buy digital collections!

How to Display a Vintage Valentine Postcard Collection

Here’s one of my favorites.  Some years I display them as singles on vintage metal frogs.  Don’t cha just love that font?

This year I displayed my favorites on the same antique frame that I used for my Advent calendar.  Which one is your favorite?

I bought these kiss cards through a dealer on Instagram.

And I think I found the Bridge Bingo at a flea market.

I also have a few postcards clothes-pinned to a string of crocheted yard for a garland on my mantle.

Love your ideas for displaying vintage postcards. I’ve used the flower frog idea but need to make myself a display frame. Thank you for sharing at Snickerdoodle. I am featuring your ideas at the Snickerdoodle party today.
