Today I’m going to share a couple of my favorite floor lamps for crafting and the best online sources to buy tasks lamps for your craft room. BTW, this is NOT my craft room. But I also do a lot of crafting on that end of the couch so I needed an extra lamp in my living room, too!

Best Floor Lamps for Crafting
Tenergy LED Floor Lamp
This is the floor lamp that I keep right by the work desk where I make jewelry. It’s super helpful to have this extra light when I’m doing beading or other detailed work.
There are several features that I really like about this floor lamp.
- can be switched from a floor lamp to a desk lamp without tools
- the light is wider than most I’ve seen
- adjustable brightness
- 4 color settings

I’ve even used this as a filler light for taking pictures for my blog!

OttLite Adjustable Magnifying Lamp
OttLite also has a pretty amazing looking magnifying lamp for crafting. Take a look at this!
I haven’t owned an OttLite floor lamp but I do have this OttLite desk lamp, too. (Mine’s black.)
When I was looking for a new lamp for our living room, this is the style I was originally looking for. I wanted something that sat at the end of the couch but would shed light where I was sitting. That’s where I do most of my crochet and embroidery… at night while Bikeman watches a ballgame or something else on TV.
Ava Adjustable Floor Lamp
This is the lamp that I ended up getting. This is a clearer photo of the floor lamp that you saw in the first picture. It’s adjustable so you can pull it down to get more light on your handwork. The style seems to fit our living room more than the modern chrome or brass lamps did.
Where to Buy Floor Lamps for Crafting
When you shop online, try searching for “task lamp”, “reading lamp”, and “led lamp”. Those will all lead you to similar styles that are usually adjustable and can provide direct lighting for crafting.
