This little corner table might just be my best thrift store find ever. At least the most economical. It was only $5.00 when I bought it about 10 years ago. And ever since then it’s been at the top of our stairs. This is the table that holds my year-long Christmas tree! So I figure that my total cost for the corner table and supplies was around $9.00, which comes out to a grand total of 7.5 cents PER MONTH that I’ve used it! lol… Yeah, I’m cheap! Here’s what it looked like when I bought it.

Corner Table Makeover Supplies
- thrift store table
- black spray paint
That’s it! All I did for prep was to clean it. If I was going to do this now I would sand it a bit before spraying but the finish has held up great over the years. Only one little scratch on the top.
But let me show you the secret… I only painted the parts that are showing at the front!
I’ve told you before that I like to start painting my jewelry cabinets upside down. This is why. Of course, no one has noticed in the last 10 years so I guess it doesn’t matter. But I sure wouldn’t do this on a piece I was selling.
I’ve learned a LOT in the last 10 years!
This is the first photo of the corner table I shared online.
And here’s what it looked like when I decorated it for the 4th of July.
Yes, this $5.00 corner table has been one of the most useful pieces in our home over the past 10 years!

Oh! I’ve been looking for something that can go in the corner behind our wrap around couch to hold drinks or remotes and this is fabulous! This proves that they’re out there somewhere! Time for another trip around to all the thrift stores for a look!

I always spray upside down first so I get all the surfaces missed when only spraying right side up.
