Junky Christmas Trees
Today’s project is from a fellow blogger who actually used to work with me at Paris Flea Market. She has a blog full of upcycled junky treasures plus she makes some beautiful jewelry. Today I’m sharing her junky Christmas trees made with old lamp parts.
NOTE: Unfortunately, it looks like Betsy has closed down her blog. I’d love to work on one of these junk Christmas trees and do a tutorial for you to show you how it’s done but it’s going to take me a while. Please be patient. And, in the meantime, if you find a tutorial, please let me know so I can connect to it. Thanks!
Vintage Hardware Upcycled Christmas Tree
Do you have a secret drawer full of old handles, knobs, hinges, and other hardware? I bet you do somewhere! Well, pull them out today and make an upcycled Christmas tree with them like Kathy did over on her blog. I’ve even got a few rhinestone buttons left like the one she added as a star on top of the tree.
Click below to see all the instructions for putting together and hanging this Christmas tree.
Repurposed Christmas Candle Holder Centerpieces
The next project is from Angie over at Knick of Time. She upcycled one of my favorite vintage finds — tart tins and Jello molds. I just made some junky pumpkins out of old Jello molds but I think I need to make this Christmas centerpiece next!
Click below to see all the details AND the second Christmas candle holder centerpiece!
Angie also sells her beautiful stencils on Etsy. You may recognize the Amazing Grace stencil from back when I used it to stencil vintage picket fences.
Does anyone else have a drawer full of old buttons in their house? I do. But that doesn’t stop me from buying more at flea markets and antique shops! Now that Sam shared her super cute little snowman Christmas gift tags I have another way to use them up.

Upcycled Felt Christmas Garland
I hate to throw anything away, including fabric and felt scraps. I’m sure I have enough scraps in my craft room to make a felt Christmas garland that would go around my entire living room! Make sure you click over to see all of Claire’s upcycled projects. You won’t be disappointed!

Upcycled Vintage Reindeer Christmas Decoration
Welcome to Day 4 of the 12 Days of Vintage, Upcycled, Recycled, and Repurposed Christmas! Today’s vintage reindeer Christmas decoration struck me right at the heart as soon as I saw it. There’s something about those little retro deer that get me. I think it might be that they remind me of my Granny’s Christmas decorations. That plus the fact that Diana found the brass piece and took it home with her even though she didn’t know what to do with it. That’s exactly what I do. All the time. Maybe too often…
See… didn’t I tell you it was CUTE!?!? Click below to see all the details of how she put it together and what she did with it.
DIY Rustic Lantern
Do you have any scrap lumber laying around? If you do, this DIY rustic lantern is what you could end up with! Leave a comment and let me know if you enjoy building! Susie and several of my other blogging friends LOVE to build.
Click the link above to see all the details of how she put these together. Then check out all her other fun projects!
DIY Christmas Chalkboard
I love chalkboards! Today’s project is a simple way to make a Christmas chalkboard out of any frame you find at thrift stores, flea markets, or garage sales. This is especially good if you can’t make up your mind what you would want a Christmas sign to say. This way you can change it as often as you want. And don’t worry if you don’t like your handwriting. I’m sharing my favorite chalk lettering books, too.

Upcycled Shuttlecock Angel Christmas Ornament
Today’s project really made me think. Can you tell what it’s made out of? Make sure you click over to Claire’s amazing blog to see how she made this angel Christmas ornament and tons of other upcycled projects!
I’d love these on a Christmas tree but I think they look a little Valentine-y, too. I think I’d keep them out through February! Click below to see the step-by-step details.
DIY Barn Wood Quilt
Today’s project is a DIY barn wood quilt. But I’ll let you in on a secret… it’s NOT made from barn wood! Click the link above to see how Larissa put this together. Pretty amazing! Plus she has a lot more rustic farmhouse projects!
Recycled Tuna Can Christmas Tree
I’m a tuna lover. I eat it at least once a week. So it would only take me 11 weeks to collect enough cans to make this! What about you? Have any other ideas to decorate for Christmas with tuna cans? I do!

Farmhouse Fireplace Christmas Ornament
Today’s ornament is a CUTE farmhouse style ornament. If you don’t have a fireplace, make one of these and decorate your “mini mantel”.

What a great project Ann! I have so many old parts from lamps I’ve upcycled, I had no idea what to do with them. Thanks for the inspiration.

I love the idea of a repurposed life. I am a retired seamstress and crafter trying to use up a lifetime collection of fabric, lace ,yarn etc. Told myself I can’t buy any more fabric but I volunteer at a non-profit thrift shop so now I rescue clothes and give them a second life. Then those items are donated to the thrift shop to help our neighbors in need.
