How to Make Unique DIY Boutonnieres with Bullet Casings

I think I’ve finally learned how to spell ” boutonnieres “!  I typed it so many times while working on our wedding schedule and researching how to make them.  Whew… you won’t believe some of the ways I was spelling it before… butoniere, buttonere, buttonnere, bouttonier, bouttonnierre, ugh!

I’ll guarantee you, these DIY BOUTONNIERES (see, I can spell it!) are easier to make than they are to spell.  They just require a little balancing act.  So there aren’t any step-by-step photos since I needed both my hands to hold all the parts.  And, even though I’ve learned to spell boutonniere, I haven’t learned to use my tripod yet.

Last week, I shared the bride’s, maid-of-honor’s, and bridesmaid’s bouquets.  I used the same dried florals for the groom’s, best man’s, and groomsmen’s boutonnieres.

I started with a head of wheat and added tiny sprigs of the other dried florals, wrapping each with floral tape as I went.  The groom’s pieces were just a bit larger than the other guys and a little more special with the addition of a bullet casing.  We bought a package of corsage pins to pin them on the guys.
