I’m still catching up from a long Thanksgiving weekend so I thought I’d share one of my first turquoise jewelry cabinet makeovers with you. This was WAY back in 2013! I loved the rounded glass doors in this thrift store find.

My First Turquoise Painted Jewelry Cabinet
This was back before I was doing tutorials on my blog so I didn’t take any step-by-step photos or keep a record of the supplies I used. But I do remember that this was the Turquoise Bay paint that I got at my local Ace Hardware.
After the paint dried I distressed the edges with a little sandpaper and used Minwax Express Color in walnut to age it.
This one sold at Room With a Past.

It is a beautiful color — and a beautiful job. Was it hard to work on something that is smaller?

Brenda, I don’t think it’s hard at all. There’s not a lot of fine detail work in these. I just use a smaller brush.
