We just got back from our favorite flea market — the Roses and Rust flea market in Anderson, California. It was a lot of fun, as usual. If you’re anywhere on the west coast this is a show worth driving to!

Roses and Rust Flea Market
Roses and Rust Flea Market fills three barns at Shasta District Fair grounds twice a year, in April and November — rain or shine. And this year, boy, did it rain!?! But the barn was still full of shoppers.
Here’s what our spot in the Lassen barn looked like before we sat up. We’ve been beside the same vendor for the last three times and he always has a great repurposed wood wall that he lets us use.
Suzy, over at Suzy Swede, sent me a few of her t-shirts to try out and I LOVE them!!! They pass my softness test. I’m very picky about my t-shirts. They have to be soft and comfy. And these are. I’m hoping to have some of these for sale at my fall shows. But until then, head over to her website to get yours. The shirt below and the one I’m wearing in the first photo both came from her “Gone Junkin'” collection.
Jordann was my assistant on this trip. Sometimes I think I’m actually her assistant. She’s getting so good she could do this on her own now!
Yes, we accept credit cards…lol.
I love seeing unique things at this show. This is the show where Glenn bought his Jeep grill a couple of years ago. I wish I had found these old cafeteria trays when my girls were little! Wouldn’t they be fun to eat lunch off of?
Baymont Inn and Suites
We’ve been staying in this hotel every time we come to the Roses and Rust flea market and noticed that the hotel has been getting a little more run down every time we come. I think this will be the last time that we stay here. We chose it because it’s close to the fairgrounds, has an indoor hot tub, and a free breakfast. If you’re thinking about staying there I suggest that you read the recent reviews before making a reservation.
I’ve got my eye on an Airbnb for next time! I’ll let you know how we like it.
