Thrift Store Finds

Repurposing Vintage Finds

Found at Sweet Repeats, Lompoc , California | DuctTapeAndDenim.comJust wanted to share some of my finds from this weekend’s shopping trip down Highway 1.  And I’ve started a whole category about repurposing vintage.  It’s something I love to do.  Hope you can get some ideas from my little projects.

I loved this chippy, white fencing.  I’ve been seeing vintage gate inspiration boards on Pinterest.  Love them so much I created my own board… follow it here.  I don’t really have room for a full size gate so this little fencing will work just right.  Plus I have 15 panels so some will make it to Roadside Relics Vintage Market this weekend, Room With a Past next weekend, and the Roses and Rust Vintage Home and Garden

Market if they last that long.

I’ve also been wanting a divided soda crate for a while.  I really wanted a Dr. Pepper but Coca-Cola will work.  I thought it would be just right for bracelets and it looks like it’s gonna work.  I started practicing setting up for the market this afternoon.  Sorry for the dark photo.  I’ll have much better ones when I do the real set up.

The last photo is a couple of the fence panels.  I separated them (well, actually I put my son-in-law to work to do that) and cleaned them up just a little with some steel wool to knock off some of the loose paint chips and spider webs.  Then I clipped on some old photos, text, and lace.  Oh, the photo in the middle is my girls… aren’t they cute?
