How to Support Small Business Without Leaving Home

Have you finished your Christmas shopping?  I have been having a blast shopping this year from the comfort of my home.  You see, as much as I love shopping at flea markets, I want to stay away from malls and big box stores this time of year.   But I’m a small business myself and I want to support other small businesses so what do I do?  I support small business by shopping online and using PayPal.

I knew I had used PayPal for a LONG time but I had to do a little research to find out just how long.  I sent my first PayPal invoice on July 12, 2000!  Where has the time gone?!?

Support Small Business Online

Here are two of the many small businesses that I bought Christmas gifts from this year:

Wild Mountain Soap Company

The first small online business I want to share with you is the Wild Mountain Soap Company.  They started creating natural soaps and scrubs in their home kitchen.  They have a physical location in Fayetteville, West Virginia, but can sell anywhere because of PayPal!

Since I’m Santa’s helper in charge of filling the stockings at my house I hit their Rugged Man line.  Those men are hard to buy for but I had no problem here.  This year the guys’ stockings will be filled with beard oil, shaving soap, and some manly smelling soap and body wash.

Snake River Farms

My second online purchase from a small business was a new category for me.  This was my first time ever to buy meat online!  Snake River Farms is a small family owned and operated farm that raises Berkshire hogs for American Kurobuta Pork.  Now I grew up on a hog farm but I’d never had Kurobuta pork so I just had to try this for one of our holiday meals.

Look at this delicious ham!

The size was perfect for one of our small holiday family dinners and it was DELICIOUS!!!

PayPal made shopping at both of these online shops and many others super easy.  I didn’t even have to get up off the couch to go find my credit card!

And to make shopping even less hassle-free, PayPal is offering free return shipping on items up to $30 for up to 11 purchases.  It’s called “Return Shipping On Us”.

Thanks for reading my post and keep up your support of small business, both in person AND online!!!

‘Til the next project,
