Usually, you think of coloring eggs as a child’s craft but I still love doing it! And even more than dying eggs, I love finding unique Easter egg design ideas. I browsed through some of my favorite blogs to find these easy ideas. (‘Cause you know I like quick and easy crafts!)
Easter Egg Design Ideas
These are the eggs I made last week. Super simple… only 2 supplies. I love the galvanized metal look!
Next is a project from Claire’s blog. Of course, I love them because they’re denim. Use up those scraps!
This simple project is so elegant!

Vintage Style Temporary Tattoo Easter Eggs
I love the vintage look of these eggs.
I know Easter eggs are usually colorful but I really like these neutral ones.
Amy made an elegant egg with gold confetti.
Oh, my goodness… these are ADORABLE!!!
I love this whimsical look. Very different for gold leaf.
Now for some colorful eggs. I actually want to try these. I love watercolor!
I’ve never heard of salt dyed eggs. I may have to try these, too.
These are the eggs for those of you who love color!
Another way to watercolor your Easter eggs. Beautiful!
And another fun use of gold leaf. I love how different people use the same supplies and come up with such different results!
Colorblocked Easter Eggs
Another project with wooden eggs.
Coloring Page Decoupage Easter Eggs
These combine several techniques: dying, coloring, and decoupage.
Now THIS is a unique Easter egg!
This would be a really fun way to dye eggs!
Super cute! Do you like these or the chick eggs better?
How about some personalized Easter eggs?
BONUS
These aren’t real eggs but I thought I’d include them. This is another project on my to do list.

‘Til the next project,
crafty grandma says
In our family, dying eggs was a tradition, unheard of among my friends but always a tradition. Now it is tradition for my grandkids. Thanks for linking up all the different sites! We dyed hard boiled eggs and made a game of hitting the eggs to see who was crowned the king or queen….dad & friends had wagers going! Kind of hard to explain. Every once in awhile we would hide a wooden egg among them and claim to be the winner.
In the galvanized eggs, you used the prickly things as a stand. Well you were on the right track. They look like the protectors mom used to have to put under the foot of the couch so it wouldn’t make indentations in the carpet. (didn’t really work!) If they had longer spikes, they were used as paper, card, or recipe holders. Thanks for the sharing all the links in one place.
