It all started back when we were getting ready for Jordann’s wedding. It was going to be at a home so we were going to have to provide all the bathroom supplies ourselves. We wanted the theme/feel of the wedding even in the bathroom so we made some floral arrangements to put in the two bathrooms that we would be using and found some pretty hand soaps. But we couldn’t find any pretty hand sanitizer bottles.

At the last minute, we pulled out some kraft paper ticket shapes from my extensive paper hoard, Jordann wrote on them with a Sharpie, and attached them to the cheap, “ugly” CVS hand sanitizer bottles. Here’s a before and after photo:
I had the wedding DIY on my “to blog” list when I decided to update my fall soap dispensers for Valentine’s Day. These fall hand soap dispensers were actually already pretty and I love how they foam up the soap. But they didn’t really go with my other Valentine’s Day decor. So I covered them with some burlap ribbon that my amazing friend, Feliz, gave me when she was packing up her booth at the end of Antique Alley last year. (You can get some similar burlap ribbon here.) I hot glued it around the bottle, cut a heart out of felt, and glued it on. Voila… Valentine’s soap!
This is a super easy project and there are so many different ways you can do it — ribbon, paper, fabric, paint, etc. Hope this spurs some ideas in your head. Leave a comment and let me know!
‘Til the next project,
