Saturday was a day I’ve been looking forward to for a LONG time! Jordy and Jonny came home from school just to go with me to the San Francisco International Gift Fair. The Music Man even got in on it this time. I think he saw how much fun we had last time and wanted to get in on this trip. He’s a pretty good shopper, too, btw. As you could tell if you read in our blog post last week about what he found for me!
Photos are not allowed in the market, which is sad for me because there are so many things I would have loved to show you. This show is broken down into separate sections. Our favorites were Vintage and Handcrafted, American Made, Treasures to Go, and the Home Section. There were some really beautiful things. Made me wish I had a whole brick-and-morter shop to fill! I’m thinking someday I may be a vendor here but until then I’m going to enjoy buying to share at our sales.
I found my favorite vendor and got more of her wonderful inspirational bracelets! And I also found a few more vendors that I liked
We were also looking for scarves but didn’t find nearly as many as last time. We thought maybe that was because of the season? The last time we went was summer and buyers were getting stocked up for fall. In San Francisco you can wear a scarf all year long and I wanted to have a few spring/summer scarves. We did find one style we liked so I have it in three colors. No pictures yet. Hopefully those will come soon.
I didn’t really mean to but our purchases ended up following a few themes. In the first photo you see all our cross bracelets. And you know I love fleur de lis so I ended up with several different styles. And that black one will match my New Orleans Saints jersey! Another theme is “Faith-Hope-Love”. I’ve been hand-stamping some metal tags and I found more of the Faith Hope Love bracelets that I sold last year. Got more of those plus a few more.
The jewelry that we bought today can’t be sold in my Etsy shop since I didn’t make it and they aren’t vintage. So I’m listing them in my Shopify shop.
On the walk back to the BART train we got a little chilly so Jordy and Jonny broke out their cashmere scarves that we bought and put them on. They were so soft! I may get more in the fall so let me know if you want one.
The next SFIGF will be at the end of July. It’s already on my calendar!
