Thrift Store Finds Vintage Finds

Things You Can Do With A Vintage Flower Frog

I’ve liked flower frogs for as long as I can remember.  I’ve collected quite a few and use them around the house but not very often for what they’re actually meant for — arranging flowers.  So here are a few ideas of things you can do with a vintage flower frog.

I was reminded of these again Sunday while I was shopping during Glenn’s bike ride.  The antique shop owner was using a glass flower frog to instead of a cup to corral her pens.  I do this on my desk.

I found several frogs in her shop.  When I brought them up she pulled a few more out from under the counter.  She hadn’t even priced them yet but offered them to me, too.  Of course, I took them.  These have been selling really well in my booth at Room With A Past (aka, “The Room”).   And I’ve already showed you how I use this frog to organize my jewelry supplies:
Here are a few other ways you can use frogs:  Scripture reminders…
…memorizing vocabulary words…

… displaying photos…

…. or displaying jewelry…

… do you use flower frogs in creative ways?  Add a link to your blog below.  Oh, and if you’d like to learn more about flower frogs, look at this website.

I didn't know that these were called frogs. You certainly found a lot of creative uses for them!

Can you use a spike flower frog to hold potatoes when you grate them by hand or because they are probably lead, it might leach into grated potato. Mine are in great condition.

That’s a good question. I wouldn’t try it because these are so old there’s no telling what’s in them! Thanks for reading!
