I met Melanie back several years ago when she was a Roomie (what we call the vendors at Room With a Past). Since then she has left the Room and started her own shop a few miles down the freeway in Alamo. It’s a cute little shop on Danville Boulevard called Suburban Peacock. She’s got the perfect, easy to find, spot, and the old building she’s renting is perfect for the mix of old, new, and handmade things she sells. This is just the kind of shop I like to shop at. And now I get to sell in, too!
She started selling my jewelry back in the late summer/early fall. I love how she displays it. She switches up the displays all the time. Last time I was there she had this amazing old drafting table that she had my necklaces on right when you walk in the door!
Then there was this vintage suitcase full of scarves. You know I love those vintage suitcases. (I have a whole Pinterest board for vintage suitcases. Follow it here.)
Here’s another jewelry display:
No jewelry in this next picture but I LOVED these little red baby shoes!
She also sells painting by this amazing artist that paints on tin cans. I would love to have one but it’s not in my budget right now.
I love the distressed look of this LOVE sign!
Here’s another photo from the shop with lots of spring color.
If you get a chance, go by and see Melanie at 3150 Danville Blvd. in Alamo. Tell her Ann sent you!
