One of the great things about going to vintage flea markets is who you meet. When Jordann and I drove down to Junk Bonanza in San Diego we met Sandy, who puts on the Mes Amis Vintage Antique Show three times a year. She had a space for a jeweler in the spring show (which was only TWO weeks after Junk Bonanza) and she invited me to come. Short notice but no way was I turning this down! I couldn’t wait to share photos from some of the great vendors so scroll down and take a look.
We’ll start off with some photos from my booth:

Now let’s look at some of the other vendors. We saw lots of taxidermy… deer, geese, even some squirrels.
And I saw something familiar… an upcycled jewelry cabinet!
Love this mannequin. Someday…
This chair doesn’t look too comfortable now but it looks perfect in this vignette. Love that vintage tin!
This was a small show but the vendors were AMAZING!!! Very inspiring and well worth the trip to Roseville.
The photos in this collage were from my neighbor to the back. She had some super-sized Scrabble letters. I’ve never seen any this big. I got a few. I also couldn’t resist the little metal cars. You’ll see those at Christmas with tiny little trees in the back. I bought a few of her vintage playing cards, too.
One of my favorite parts of vintage flea markets is meeting all the other vendors. Such fun and talented people!

Do you have a jewelry box like the one on this site? Or know where I can find one? Thanks so much!

Sorry, no I don’t. I have a few in storage that I’ve picked up at thrift stores. But I won’t have time to paint them until after Christmas. I usually can find these at Goodwill if you’d like to paint them yourself. Otherwise, try one of the holiday boutiques or craft shows this time of year.
