Now, I’ve done some mystery shopping before and I was always disappointed in how much time the shops would take. I didn’t really think it was worth the amount I was getting paid. But I know people who really enjoy mystery shopping. I’ve also had friends that participated in focus groups and completed online surveys for cash or gift cards. ATryBox is similar but different in many ways. ATryBox is a New York City-based company that matches startups with potential consumers in their demographic to get information and opinions. So basically, you could be paid for giving someone your opinion. Something you’re probably doing for free already!
Here are the requirements and why this is a perfect fit for moms:
- Must be based in US and be able to accept payment to a US bank account.
- No technical skills required.
- Must be willing to share your honest opinion
When you sign up you’ll share some basic information about yourself, let them know which activities you want to be “invited” to, and let them know your areas of expertise and your interests. This form should only take about 3 minutes. Then when ATryBox finds a startup looking for someone like you, you’ll get an email inviting you to participate. You can sign up to participate in a variety of events:
- personal meetings – user can set his price
- phone calls – $35
- online usability tests – $25
- surveys – $10
- help with choices – $5
You’ll get paid 7 days after your event is complete.
