Do you make your jewelry?
I do make most of my jewelry myself in my home studio in California. During the busy seasons I have several young ladies that help me. One of my dreams is to provide jobs for stay-at-home moms and college students.
Please note that since the stamped pieces are hand stamped each will be unique. They will not be perfectly straight.
I also purchase a few pieces pre made that fit with the style of my items. Etsy does not allow these to be sold on their website. I eventually will have a complete online shop attached to this website. Until then you can purchase these from me at a local sale or send me an email if you see something you like.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, I do. Send me an email if you’re interested – DuctTapeAndDenimByAnn@gmail.com
Do you do custom orders?

Can you stamp on both sides of a tag?
No, only one side of a tag can be stamped.
What length necklace should I buy?
I wrote a whole blog post to answer this question. Complete with photos for comparison.
What is your jewelry made of? or… Is your jewelry nickel and lead free?
The materials used are listed in the item descriptions. Mainly I use stainless steel or antiqued brass chains. My charms are usually silver plated, pewter, or Tibetan silver. The rustic metal pendants I use are cut by a local metal shop from recycled metal and treated to look aged. My hand-stamped tags are brass or aluminum.
I buy lead and nickel free supplies. The only nickel silver item I have is the Simple Silver State Outline Necklace. But these are also available in aluminum if you prefer.
Also note that many of my pieces contain vintage items and NOS. I usually don’t know the content of these supplies.
Will your jewelry tarnish?
All silver and brass will all naturally tarnish. I use raw brass tags to stamp. These will darken naturally. If you prefer them shiny you can polish with a jewelry cloth or 000 steel wool. Storing them in airtight baggies will also help prevent tarnishing.
Stainless steel and aluminum will not tarnish.
Will it turn my skin green?
Every persons body chemistry is different. Some people have trouble with more metals than others. Sterling silver, aluminum, and stainless steel will not turn your skin green. A few people have a reaction to brass. Copper is the most common culprit that will turn your skin green.
To prevent this with any copper bracelets that you have you can coat the areas touching your skin with a clear fingernail polish.
Stainless steel will not tarnish or turn your skin green.
If I’m not happy with an item can I return it?
Of course! If the jewelry isn’t what you were expecting or even if you just don’t like it you can return it for a full refund, less shipping.
How should I care for my jewelry?
Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on in the morning, after your makeup, perfume, and hair spray, to protect it from those things. Jewelry that you wear every day can be stored in the open, on top of your dresser, hung on your wall, etc. Metal will tarnish much slower when it is stored in airtight baggies. Occasionally you can polish with a polish cloth.
I’m also planning a blog post with lots more details of how to care for your jewelry.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International shipping is listed as an option in my Etsy shop.
How long will it take to get my order?
Most items listed in my Etsy shop are ready to be shipped. Custom & wholesale orders will depend on the number of inquiries I’ve had recently. Orders are shipped USPS First Class from California and get to most US addresses in 2-3 days.
Can you do a rush order?
This depends on many factors. Email me — DuctTapeAndDenimByAnn@gmail.com
