They’re popping up EVERYWHERE! Adult coloring books. I even saw one in the checkout line at the grocery store today. Most of them aren’t my style but I have found a few that I really like. (I’ll share those with you at the end of this post.) But meanwhile, I had some adult coloring pages designed for me and I’m giving them away for FREE! My plan is to post one a week for the next five weeks. That’s how many I have so far but if you like them I’ll see what I can do about adding more! My thought was to have you download and color these, take a picture for Instagram, and tag me (@DuctTapeDenim) so I can see it. What do you think? Anyone want to join me in coloring?

I’m starting with my favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” I remind myself of this verse all the time so this was a nice, relaxing project for me.
What is it about coloring that is so relaxing?
Maybe that I didn’t have to plan or gather any supplies. No one could tell me I did it wrong. I didn’t plan anything ahead. Just picked a random colored pencil out of my caddy and started coloring the next space.
BTW, Crayola colored pencils are the ONLY pencils I ever use anymore. The cheaper ones are just that… cheap! Last year I finally bought this box of 50. I really wanted all the subtle shades that it had. But if you’re just starting off or don’t want to spend much get a smaller box of Crayola, NOT the larger box of the cheap brand! Here’s the box of 12 that you could start out with for about $4.
I was planning to print these on cardstock but I forgot and just printed on plain printer paper. It’s working out fine.
BTW, you will see a few “oops” in the pages. My artist is still a little new and I didn’t bother with having her fix them. I’ll just color over them.
Adult Coloring Books
Here’s a few adult coloring books I found on Amazon that have Scriptures in them.
- Beauty in the Bible
- The Word in Color – This one looks amazing. It’s currently out of stock but it’s the one I want to get! Take a look at some of the pages! And it includes bookmarks and gift tags. Spiral bound at the top of the page so lefties can use it too!
- Simple Blessings – I follow Karla on Facebook and Twitter… LOVE her designs!
- Be Still – Focusing on the Psalms. This one has some more realistic drawings if you don’t want a “cartoony” look.
- Whatever is Lovely

I tend to agree – go Crayola or go home. I think the cheaper pencils just aren’t worth it, and some of the more expensive brands don’t really feel all that much better than Crayolas. When you consider the result against the price, Crayolas just have the best value.
