June is one of my favorite months at Room With a Past. Summer sales are usually a little slow but our shop management came up with an idea that helps the dealers get rid of our extra inventory and our customers end up with some great deals! It our bi-annual Parking Lot Sale! (The other will be in September.)
I sat up my shelf Tuesday (before my afternoon in jury duty) and there were several other spaces already finished. More than usual. Maybe everyone wanted to get their indoor spaces set up so they could get ready for the outside sale. The shop looked very patriotic! I’ll share photos of the other spaces with you tomorrow.
The first photo is my whole shelf. I think I’m about to outgrow it! The second photo shows an unusual red shelf that I bought at an antique shop in Concord. I added some cup hooks for jewelry. I thought it would be great for Christmas, too, to display ornaments!
I love how this narrow turquoise shelf turned out. Jordy helped me paint it before she went back to school. A fun, colorful display cabinet. Painted with Cece Caldwell Carolina Sun Yellow. And there’s one of my upcycled crystal doorknob photo holders next to it.
How do you like this vintage flag box? I bought it with the flag still in it! I’ll have that flag and some others, including a HUGE one, in the parking lot sale Saturday.
You can see two bracelets in this photo, too. I’ll be introducing more semi-precious stones & sterling silver in my jewelry in the fall, maybe even some gold. These are two of the first examples I have. A tiny turquoise chip bracelet with sterling and a freshwater pearl bracelet.
The last photo is from my middle shelf. I’m trying to find better ways to display my earrings where more can be seen. I’ll be adding a lot of new earring styles this summer & fall, too!
I found some fun vintage Dennison seals, too!
If you’re in the area, Room With a Past opens Thursday, June 20, at 5:00.
